Where can I find your availability?

Our real time calendar can be accessed by CLICKING HERE. Each of our supported booking platforms (Airbnb, HomeAway, HipCamp, etc) also have current calendars.

We are open April-November each year and closed for the Winter season.

How do I book a stay?

We offer guests various booking options. You can book directly with us via email at info@rustysroostnc.com, text 910.722.6888 or social media direct message to avoid booking platform fees. Direct booking payments are accepted via venmo or paypal. If you are more comfortable you can book online through a preferred platform of choice including: HipCamp, GlampingHub, AirBNB, HomeAway, TripAdvisor and Booking.com.

Is there a minimum stay?

Yes. We book a two night minimum stay. However exceptions during the week can be made- reach out to us.

Are there Cancellation Fees?

Cancellations on visits booked through a third party (i.e. AirBnb) are subject to the party’s terms.

For Direct bookings: No refunds on cancellations unless emergency weather warnings are issued.

What is the check in process?

Check-in is 3 p.m. and checkout is 11 a.m.

Let us know if you need different times.

Pull up to your assigned tent (tents are numbered from entrance and have marked named signs). Cars park on the parking pad- please do not park on the grass. *If you have an overflow of cars, please park them down past the tents.  DO NOT BLOCK THE ROAD.

Are pets allowed?

We welcome dogs at the River Camps, but ask that they remain on leash when exploring the property and please clean up after your pets.

Is there a restroom at the River Camp?

YES! At the entrance of the property (near site #1) there is a bathhouse  with men’s and women’s restrooms equipped with running, heated water, indoor plumbing, sinks and showers for guests to use. The bathhouse does have electricity and entrance is lit at night.

Is there electricity in the tents?

YES! All tents have power and plugs for your convenience.

What do I need to bring to Glamp?

We provide guests with premium bed linens, pillows and basic furnishings. Remember it is still camping. Bring any necessities you normally would for your camping adventure.  Sites have bonfire stations as well as cooking stations with access to running water for your cooking needs. No refrigeration is provided.

Are the glamping sites heated and cooled?

No. Low voltage personal fans and heaters are permitted. We do have some on hand for guests on a first come first serve basis upon request only.

What can I buy on site at the River Camp?

Ice and firewood are available for purchase/order from our property manager, Ms. Toni, who resides on the property. This is not a guaranteed on call service so please check before you arrive. During check in you will be given her contact for anything you may need during your stay.

Ingles grocery is located just down the mountain about 30 minutes from camp as well as convenience stores, shopping, restaurants and more.

We also have two local grocers on the mountain. Whitson’s is located 15 min from camp and Petersons is located within 5 minutes.

Are you handicap accessible?

Our River Camp is comprised of elevated tent sites & bathhouses with no wheelchair access. This is mandated by flood codes due to the river’s proximity.
